Implementation

Emergency measures until May 10 do not change.

Starting May 11, the emergency measures will be as follows:

1. Appeal for self-isolation

From May 11, “Stay home” will become “Stay in your home town.”
*Avoid travelling across Shiga and going out to bars, nightclubs and other restaurants.

2. Appeal to refrain from organizing events

Starting May 11, events with fewer than 50 participants will be allowed.
Large-scale events across Japan have been cancelled or postponed when anti-infection measures cannot be taken.

3. Appeal to limit use of facilities

Measures will be relaxed in for facilities in the following order as of May 11:
  1. Schools, museums, business places following current emergency measures, and other facilities with an area of less than 1,000 m2
  2. Other facilities
    3. *The timing to reopen these other facilities will depend on the situation regarding the infection in Shiga and on measures taken by neighboring prefectures.
