It has already been 8 years since I came to Japan. I remember making so many mistakes at the beginning, because I was very confused about Japanese customs. Now, when I go back to Brazil, my family makes fun of me because I am so used to Japanese customs. When I entered the house, I would take off my shoes right away. My children would tell me, “Daddy, this is Brazil!” When I put some small trash like gum or candy in my pocket to take them home, they would ask me, “Why are you putting garbage in your pocket?”
