[Information] 【A Message from Shiga Prefecture】 “The Perfect Time to Travel in Shiga! Round 6” Campaign Extended (August 1, 2022)

Note: Shiga residents do not need convenience store coupons when traveling to other prefectures.

Currently, Shiga residents can participate in the campaign in Fukui, Wakayama, Gifu, Mie, Kyoto, Osaka and Hyogo. For more details, visit each prefecture’s campaign website (Japanese only).

The “The Perfect Time to Travel in Shiga Round 6” accommodation and tourism campaign is being extended as follows:

Applicable Stay Period

Current: until Thursday, June 30 →
Extended until: Wednesday, August 31 (checkout on Thursday, September 1)

• The validity of convenience store tickets that say “今こそ滋賀を旅しよう６／周遊＆宿泊補助券” (The Perfect Time to Travel in Shiga Round 6/tourism and accommodation support tickets) with a written date of April 28, May 31 or June 30 is extended until August 31.

Shiga Shuyu Travel Coupons Validity Period

Current: until Friday, July 1 →
Extended until: Thursday, September 1　

• The validity of tickets with a written date of April 29, June 1 or July 1 is extended until September 1.
• The validity period is extended until June 1 since the campaign is eligible to the Japan Tourism Agency’s local tourism business support program.

• To be eligible, applicants must prove that they are Shiga residents and provide either proof of vaccination (two shots) or a proof of negative test results.
• Campaign conditions may change at any time depending on the COVID-19 situation. The latest information can be found on our website.
• To apply, confirm the accommodation reservation and buy a coupon at a convenience store. In the event that the campaign is cancelled because of the current situation, coupons will not be refunded.
• Participants should enjoy their trip while strictly following travel etiquette in the time of a pandemic, as seen on: Travel etiquette (Japanese only)
